Week 10 Part A: Researching Email Marketing
Week 9: Blogs, Vlogs, Podcasts & Webinars, Adding Categories
Adding a personal touch to the postings, blogs or vlogs is a great way to connect with your customers and followers. The followers want to know not just about your business but also know about your personal life. Knowing about your personal life can help engage your followers and customers more and want them to return. Giving a personal glimpse can help add emotion to posts and or videos, which in return can get you more followers and or customers. I have learned that emotion is in marketing and emotion has lots to do with sales. Creating a post with an emotional story can help engagement in business and attract more customers or followers. We also want to ensure we don't add too much of emotion as it can be overwhelming to some. I have seen other companies use emotion to advertise and make a connection to customers. An example of that would be car commercials. They show a family driving and teaching their teenager how to drive. This gives one the sense of secureness within the car. We'll rely more on that brand because of the way they add family emotion into their commercials.
I currently have a blog page on my business website, but I had never thought about breaking down into categories for each section. This would be a great idea to organize them and make sure the posts aren't just all over the place. Creating a section of each topic would be great because that can keep the visitors more engaged and wanting to come back for more. Adding the emotion into these posts can help drive traffic and gain more customers. In my blog I could add several sections for example one can be about my cosmetics and how I use them. Another could be about my apparel and how I wear it or where I chose to wear it to. Lastly, I could also write about how I started and what knowledge I have gained throughout my experience in having my business. I could also give an update on how I got started with my business and what made me want to begin in the first place.
Week 8 Part B: Your Instagram Hashtag Use
The postings I have use are according to the post I have posted. I use ones that are specific to my business. I use hashtags that will help get my business name to other areas for example I use the city that I have visted recently or the county I have visited or where I have taken the recent pictures. I use the objects in the posting or the main focus of the picture or video. I usually add my postings in the morning between 8am-10am or 11am-1pm or in the evening anytime after 4pm-7pm. I have noticed that postings receive more engagement during the evening maybe because of the number of people that are logged in during that time.
This exercise has made me realize that hashtags helps expose you more to other users on Instagram. Using the hashtags with the postings help get noticed by others. I did notice that usually the times that I get more engagement is after 6pm. I need to be more consistent with the posting at certain times. Followers may have get used to the postings at a certain time.
Week 8 Part A: How to Expand Your Reach on Instagram by Using Hashtags
Bella Dona seems to have Instagram working for them as they have more than 425K followers. Surprisingly, they do not use any hashtags on their postings. They seem to be posting more than twice a week. After searching for their business name on the hashtags I found they do have a great number of them, however, they don't use them on their postings. Their page gets an average of 1k-10k likes per page, and they receive an average of 5-20 comments per post.
Viva La Bonita has a number of 325k followers on their Instagram page. They do not seem to be using the hashtags on their posts at all. The do seem to have posting on their page about 3 times a week. I searched the hashtag for Viva La Bonita and found their hashtags have all of their posting names. They post several quotes and they all fall under the hashtag under their name. The hashtags are used by their customers and followers. They seem to have lots of likes on the postings where they post quotes. The postings seem to get more than 2k likes. The number of likes does seem accurate to the number of followers they have. The posts receive an average of 5 to 20 comments.
Lux Rosa Por Vida has a number of 175k followers and posts an average of 1-4 postings weekly. they have a number of 176k followers. The postings they have all also have an average of more than 2k likes per post. They do use hashtags on all of their postings, after looking at the hashtags they use I see the do have a great following on the hashtags. They seem to get the tagged with the same hashtags they use from their customers. The number of the followers they have does seem accurate to the number of likes their postings have. The comments they receive on each post are around anywhere 4-35, certain postings receive more likes and comments than others. This page seems to be positing lots of videos with their products.
After the research I have found that consistency is the key. I use hashtags at the moment and they seem to be helpful to get my business name out there. I do need to keep posting more on my page. I should also work on posting videos more often. I have noticed videos/reels seem to be getting more attention. Reels along with using hashtags. My followers compared to my likes seem to be accurate they are anywhere from 3-10 comments per posting. I came to the realization that posting more frequently may help with becoming more known and having more followers.
